Robert Mollentze · Gold Coast software developer I solve what’s costing you.
Custom software, apps, integrations and AI.
Reedy Creek, Gold Coast · Remote across Australia
The businesses that pull ahead aren’t working harder than everyone else. They’ve just stopped doing the work a computer should be doing, and put those hours somewhere their competitors can’t follow.
I’m Robert Mollentze, a software developer based in Reedy Creek on the Gold Coast, trading as Robert Solves. I build custom software, mobile and desktop apps, integrations between the systems you already pay for, and AI automation for small businesses. I scope it, I build it, and I answer the phone myself — coding since 2008, freelance since 2018.
Where the advantage comes from
-
Software integrations — your tools pass information between themselves. Entered once, right everywhere.
-
AI automation — enquiries answered, quotes drafted, follow-ups chased, while you’re doing something else.
-
NEW Run your business from your AI — ask Claude, ChatGPT or Grok what’s on today, send a quote, update a customer. Or run a custom AI command for the jobs you do every week.
-
App development — mobile and desktop apps built around how you work, not the other way around.
-
Custom software — booking, quoting, job tracking and customers in one place you can trust.
None of this ever feels urgent enough to fix. That’s why it’s still costing you.
Recent work
-
Compledo — a shared organiser for couples and families, designed, built and launched solo. Real-time sync in about two seconds, offline-first, installs from a QR code with no app store, with AI-generated plans in beta. Flutter, a cloud API, Firebase and an MCP server.
-
DBScope — a desktop tool for browsing and editing PostgreSQL databases. Describe what you want in plain English and it writes the ready-to-run SQL. Public release coming soon.
-
Open source — 50+ public repositories on GitHub, with Dart and Flutter packages published on pub.dev, including a provider-agnostic layer over Claude, OpenAI and Gemini.

Questions I get asked
What do you actually do?
I build and connect software for small and medium businesses, on the Gold Coast and remotely: custom apps and internal tools, integrations between the systems you already pay for, and AI that handles the jobs eating your week. If a computer should be doing it and a person still is, that’s my work.
What does it cost?
Once I understand the problem, most jobs are quoted as a fixed price, so you know the number before anything starts. Small integrations and automations are usually the cheapest thing on the list and the fastest to pay for themselves. The first 30-minute call costs nothing, and if what you’re describing isn’t worth building, I’ll say so rather than quote it.
Do you only work with Gold Coast businesses?
I’m based at Reedy Creek and happy to sit down in person anywhere from Coolangatta to Coomera — Burleigh, Robina, Varsity Lakes, Broadbeach, Southport, Tweed Heads. All of it works remotely too, so plenty of the work is for businesses elsewhere in Australia and overseas.
Can you work with the software we already use?
That’s usually the cheapest fix. Accounting, CRM, e-commerce, booking systems, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, your point of sale — most of them have a way in. Once they’re connected, information gets entered once and is right everywhere, and your staff keep the tools they already know.
What does “run your business from your AI” mean?
It means connecting your business systems to Claude, ChatGPT or Grok so you can simply ask. What’s on today? Send that customer the quote. Which invoices are overdue? The AI reads and updates your real data instead of guessing at it, and it works from your phone.
How long does a job take?
A single integration or automation is often days rather than weeks. A custom app is a bigger conversation, and I break those into pieces that each do something useful on their own, so you get value before the whole thing is finished.
Who actually does the work?
I do. You deal with me from the first call through to handover — no account manager, no team you never meet. I’ve been coding since 2008, freelance since 2018, and I answer the phone myself.
What systems have you worked with?
Recent work covers Flutter apps for iOS, Android, web and desktop, Stripe payments, Google Workspace and Google APIs, Firebase and PostgreSQL backends on Google Cloud and AWS, CRMs and OAuth logins, and AI features on Claude, OpenAI and Gemini, including MCP servers so staff can run the business from Claude or ChatGPT.
