An app built around how you work.
Off-the-shelf apps make you change how you work. I build mobile and desktop apps in Flutter, so one codebase runs on iPhone, Android, the web and desktop, shaped around how your business already runs.
Signs you need an app
- Your team needs job details, photos or checklists on their phones, on site, even without signal.
- Customers keep asking for a way to book, order or check progress from their phone.
- You pay for an app that does half of what you need and charges per user for it.
- You have an idea for an app and want one person who can build the whole thing.
What I build
- Mobile apps for iPhone and Android, with web and desktop versions from the same Flutter code.
- Real-time sync and offline-first apps that keep working without signal.
- Compledo, a shared organiser I designed, built and launched solo. It syncs in about two seconds and installs from a QR code with no app store.
- DBScope, a desktop app for browsing and editing PostgreSQL databases in plain English. Public release coming soon.
- Back ends on Firebase, PostgreSQL, Google Cloud or AWS, with AI features on Claude, OpenAI or Gemini where they help.
How it works
- A free 30-minute video call to understand the app. If it isn't worth building, I say so.
- Larger apps are broken into pieces that each do something useful on their own, so you use the first piece before the last is built.
- One person does the work, start to finish. I've been coding since 2008, freelance since 2018, and publish open-source Flutter packages on pub.dev.
